First shots with the Nikon
Well I finally got my new camera in and have been having fun playing with it. Almost every control on the camera is backwards from my Canon cameras but I'm getting used to it and I'm really liking the shots I'm getting! I'm a big fan of the colors from the Nikon cameras and it was one of the big motivators for the switch. This is from my first day with the camera and is a picture of my wonderful niece and just thought it was such a cute shot that I had to share it. As for the switch, I'm still in the process of replacing all my bodies and lenses but I'm happy with how everything is going and I've been able to get much higher quality lenses and accessories which should mean better photos for you! More to come in the days ahead...

I picked up a D200 and a D80. As for lenses I'm using a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8, Nikon 35mm f2, Nikon 85mm f1.8, Nikon 80-200mm f2.8, and a Nikon 55-200mm VR. I still have a few more things I'll be getting before wedding season picks up but its been fun getting to pick out all new lenses and accessories and I've been able to get higher grade equipment without much price difference.
